Biotage Sfär Silica D - Duo 60 μm is the ideal solution for standard separations that require a reliable normal phase media and the flexibility of loading the samples in different ways.Sfär means “Sphere” in the Swedish mother tongue of Biotage and indicates that spherical silica is used in these columns. Spherical silica has many advantages, higher surface area, higher loading capacities, tighter elution bands and purer fractions. D stands for Duo, as Biotage Sfär gives you the dual possibility of liquid loading and drying loading, on the column.Sfär columns are quality tested to ensure they meet stringent performance criteria, including efficiency and peak symmetry. Each CE-marked column is created using inert, food grade plastics for lower extractables, cleaner fractions, and packed to provide excellent resolution alongside tolerance of higher operating pressures (as high as 17 bar or 247 psi).These 25g columns come in convenient dispenser boxes containing 20 columns

Purity™ Flash Cartridges are superior because they are packed with Premium Rf™ Silica Gel. The porosity is 60A, particle distribution is 20-45um, bed mass is 40g, and quantity is 12/pk. Sorbtech's packing technique & Premium Rf's narrow particle distribution results in a uniform packed bed. The benefits are no channeling, higher resolution, decrease in backpressure, faster flow, and faster run time. Additionally, the small pore volume allows for more silica gel per column volume leading to greater loadability and less solvent use. Finally, the high purity silica gel (minimal surface metals) reduces mixed-mode interactions (no peak tailing or resolution loss). The polypropylene cartridge has standard luer-lock end fittings and is spin-welded (leak-free) allowing higher pressures up to 400 psi. The cartridges are compatible with all flash chromatography systems.
